COLD WEATHER COMING!!!

With the colder weather coming, we ask that students dress for the weather. Students will have outside recess on most days. Please be sure your child dresses so that he or she will be warm enough when outside. If your child has been ill and needs to stay in from a recess, please send a note with your child.

H1N1 Letter to Parents

With the start of the new school year comes renewed concern among parents and health officials regarding the swine flu (H1N1).

We have began a clear protocol and ongoing effort to keep Highland Elementary as sanitary and clean as possible. We are training and encouraging our students to wash their hands consistently and frequently, providing hand sanitizer in every

classroom, using disinfecting wipes, etc. We will wipe down desks weekly, sanitize doorknobs, drinking fountains, phones, restrooms, and lunchroom tables daily, and sanitize playground equipment occasionally.

We encourage students who are sick to stay home.
